Water requirement : वैसे तो वर्षा के मौसम में पानी की जरूरत नहीं होती है लेकिन कभी वर्षा नहीं हो तो फसल के अनुसार सिंचाई कर देना चाहिए ( However, there is no need of water in the rainy season but if there is no rain then irrigation should be done according to the crop. )

Area of Cultivation (State) : भारत में अदरक की सबसे ज्यादा खेती केरल में की जाती हैं इसके अलावा  हिमाचलप्रदेश, आंध्रप्रदेश, तमिलनाडु, महाराष्ट्र, कर्नाटक, उड़ीसा, राजस्थान, मध्यप्रदेश, में भी अदरक की खेती की जाती है ( In India, most of the ginger is cultivated in Kerala, besides Ginger cultivation in Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Orissa, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh. )

Specialty : सुप्रभा प्रजाति की पैदावार 250-300 कविण्टल प्रति हेक्टेयर पाई गई हैं तथा सोंठ बनाने के लिए ये क़िस्म उपयुक्त हैं। नमक भूरा, कम फाइबर, विस्तृत अनुकूलनशीलता, दोनों शुरुआती और देर से बुवाई के लिए उपयुक्त। ( The yield of Suprapa species has been found to be 250-300 q / ha and this type is suitable for making gums. Plumpy rhizome, less fibre,wide adaptability,suitable for both early and late sowing. )

Description : इस किस्म में फुटाव अधिक होता है इसके प्रकांड लम्बे , अंडाकार सिरों वाले , चमकीले , भूरे रंग के होते है , जिनमे होता है यह किस्म यह किस्म पर्वतीय क्षेत्रों के 4.4 प्रतिशत , 1.9 प्रतिशत तेल 1 8.9 प्रतिशत ओलेरिओसिन रेशा लिए अति उत्तम है .( This type is more prone to inflammation. Its formula is tall, oval-shaped, bright and brown, in which this kind is very good for this kind of species 4.4 percent, 1.9 percent of oilseed oils, 8.9 percent of olarosine filament. )
