Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University was at first a grounds of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. After the arrangement of Haryana in 1966, it turned into a self-governing organization on February 2, 1970 through a Presidential Ordinance, later confirmed as Haryana and Punjab Agricultural Universities Act, 1970, went by the Lok Sabha on March 29, 1970. From 31st October, 1991, it was renamed as Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University. It is famously known as HAU and is one of Asia's greatest Agricultural University. It is named after India's seventh Prime Minister, Choudhary Charan Singh. It is a pioneer in horticultural examination in India and contributed fundamentally to Green Revolution and White Revolution in India in the 1960s and 70s. The college has 8645 Acres land (around 7219 Acres. at fundamental or main campus, 1426 Acres. at outstations). The University has a few exploration focuses all through the state. The University has likewise given various service centers which focuses including campus area with hospital facility, group focus, sports unpredictable, guest houses and homes for its staff.

Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University provides the various facilities which include the well planned systematically laid with hostel facilities with catering for graduate and undergraduate students. Student hostels accomodations is provided with 14 hostel of the university out of 12 hostels is located at hisar and rest of 2 hostels is situated at kaul campus. Some accommodations area is also provided with Faculty house, Farmer’s house, Kisan ashram.
At place of University, library facilities are available. Here, you can get all type of books has about 3.18 lakhs volumes and 718 Indian current referencing books. Various facilities are available which is important for students that are computer centers, which help you to improve the knowledge as well as enhanced the technology ideas.
