Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College and Research Institute is the top fourth Agricultural College built up under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. The College was initially begun at Kumulur, close Lalgudi in Tiruchirappalli area in the year 1989 and moved to the present campus grounds Navalur Kuttappattu town, 14 kilometer from Tiruchirappalli town in 1992. The present area was stated with ICAR financing and the Agricultural Research Station was begun with TNAU subsidizing. The inside was named as Kumaraperumal Farm Science Center because of the liberal gift of Rs.2.2 lakhs by Th.K.P.Kaliappapillai the child of Mr. Kumaraperumal.
